Sabah Not Enough School Teacher?
Do Sabahan not qulified for filling the shortage of teacher in Sabah? There is a lot of qualified unemployed graduate scattered around Sabah and why they are not employ by the government to meet the need of teacher here? Well it's up for the government to decided it. This qualified graduate need to pass the MTEST Exam and Interview before they can be selected as the qualified teacher. We as the graduate teacher need to motivate ourselves in order to meet the government need. Hopefully the state government can tackle this problem as soon as possible. More reading... below

BESUT: The Government will continue to send teachers from the peninsula to Sabah and Sarawak until the two states have enough teachers of their own to meet the need, Deputy Education Minister Dr Mohd Puad Zarkashi said Saturday.The two states were unable as yet to meet the quota of teachers to meet their need, even with the open interviews conducted in both states, he told reporters after launching the 10th anniversary of Sekolah Imtiaz Besut, here.Dr Mohd Puad said teachers from the peninsula adapted themselves well in the two states. - Bernama

KOTA KINABALU 18 Julai - Kerajaan akan mengambil pendekatan proaktif dengan menghantar guru-guru berasal dari Sabah dan Sarawak mengajar di negeri masing-masing dalam usaha mengatasi masalah kekurangan guru di kedua-dua negeri tersebut.Timbalan Perdana Menteri, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin berkata, langkah tersebut akan dilakukan secara berperingkat memandangkan terdapat kekurangan guru pada masa ini."Ini akan mengambil masa kerana kita tidak boleh tukar guru dari Semenanjung (yang bertugas di Sabah dan Sarawak) balik ke Semenanjung dan Sabah balik ke Sabah kerana kadang-kadang bilangan (guru) pun tak mencukupi," katanya.Beliau berkata demikian pada sidang akhbar selepas merasmikan Mesyuarat Perwakilan UMNO Bahagian Sepanggar di sini hari ini. Muhyiddin yang juga Menteri Pelajaran berkata, pada dasarnya kerajaan bersetuju guru berasal dari Sabah dan Sarawak ditempatkan di kedua-dua negeri itu kerana mereka lebih mudah memahami dan serasi dengan persekitaran fizikal serta budaya setempat.Sementara itu, mengulas mengenai kelewatan menyiapkan sebahagian besar makmal komputer di sekolah-sekolah negeri ini, beliau berkata, kementerian akan berusaha menyelesaikan masalah itu dengan segera. Katanya, beliau memberi perhatian serius atas kelewatan itu yang menyaksikan hanya tiga daripada 250 makmal komputer yang dibina dalam Rancangan Malaysia Kesembilan (RMK-9) di negeri ini berjaya disiapkan setakat ini."Saya tidak gembira dengan situasi itu dan kita memandang serius perkara ini. Kita sedang mengatasi masalah ini," ujarnya.
